Torenrook

A personal piece for a novel I'm writing in my free time. 

While Torenrook is the name that has been ascribed to the ruins of tower most prominently visible here, most of the structures here lie just offshore, submerged beneath the waters of the great lake. It is a deceptively dangerous place to explore as the fog tends to linger here more than most places along the shore. 

This has led many to speculate that the tower once housed a larger version of a fog lamp, which Mokai use to keep the deadly vapour at bay, and functioned similarly to a lighthouse. Any attempts to replicate the technology on such a scale have failed however.

Members of the Peacekeepers often patrol the shoreline near Torenrook to ward others away. Unfortunately it isn't uncommon to find folk lying nearby, lured to their death by this most mysterious location.
