Summer's End

A personal piece from many years ago. 

I've always loved the Autumn in the UK and the transition nature undergoes. It was the inspiration for this work. I would frequently walk along a local canal back then on my way too and from my job. I loved the atmosphere of the sun filtering through the trees overhead and slowly watching the wildlife migrate away for the winter.

Here, a friendly Dragon, who always returns to the same spot each year, is about to do the same. Some villagers who live nearby have brought offerings to see it safe on the journey ahead and receive its blessing.
