Leaving Ivorton

A personal piece for a novel I'm writing in my free time. 

Ivorton is the largest settlement in Mokai society, housing most of the Mokai population. However it is plagued by a deathly fog that periodically rolls in from the south. 

In the past, being built against towering cliffs has afforded some protection. More often than not, the fog would funnel down through the labyrinthine tunnels of the Wormways and dissipate either side of the city. Increasingly, however, this is no longer the case and the fog will breach these natural defences, crashing down on the city from the plateaus above.

Here our four protagonists set off on a life changing journey. One that might see them discover the answers to the origins of the fog and much, much more besides.
